Sunday, 27 November 2011 @ 01:10 For the past week or so, the teachers have been forcing us to -Find what course we want to do -look at unis we're interested to go to -look at the unis which have the course we're interested It's really depressing when you really think about it.. I just realised that the next next time I start a new school year whole be at uni.. Like seriously think about it, September 2013 I'll be in the UK somewhere starting my degree! How scary is that? A year from now, I would've already picked out my top 10 uni's and already chosen what course I want to do at those unis.. This is my second last november in Brunei before I go to uni!! Oh yeah, all the universities which came to the Study UK convention thing di empire came to school.. We had to walk around an talk to all the Uni's that sound interesting.. So right now I have like 5 different uni punya prospectus on my bed, all of them ada a dog-eared page on the course I'm interested in.. The week before this, a representative of the University of Manchester came to school.. She about everything about Manchester and I was just sitting in the corner nodding to everything she said and I was excited cause I really want to go there! It's like home Sudah wah sana ah cause 2 of my siblings went to uni there.. But then she said that the uni of Manchester has one of the highest applicants every year, which slims down my chance if ever masuking.. So now I am currently really interested in this uni called 'Queen Mary,University of London' I wouldn't mind going to Uni in London.. I think it would be kinda cool=D The course I'm interested in is called 'Sustainable Energy Engineering' Sounds cool right? And its a MEng not a BEng.. Which is basically 4 years and by the end I will be a Master of Engineering.. If I did 3 years Saja it would be Bachelor of Engineering.. The course is year 1 to 3 is basically mechanical engineering tapi the 4th year Saja lain.. There was this other uni, Cardiff, they have this course called Civil and Environmental Engineering.. And one of he variations of the course is that the course is for 5 years with a year in either France or Spain! And I was like SPAIN!! okayy, onwards yoo!! Some if my kawans baru kan talk to their parents about what course they should do.. Tapi aku just thought really hard about what I want to do and that was to develop Brunei, and I thought I should do that by fixing our energy problem.. Wheb I told this to bapa, he seemed upset that I didn't want to be a doctor anymore but then when I said energy he smiled abit but then thought "you dont have phyics, inda dapat engineering!" and I was like "I won't be an engineer.. You get me?" Bapa answered with "I hear you" And I was like "hearing and understanding isnt the same thing.." And he jaat nodded.. And now I said I wanna be an engineer and he repeated you dont have phyics, inda dapat engineering!" and I was like "dapaaaat! I read kata Dorang 'if you don't do physics, you we except either Biology, Chemistry or Geography' and I do all three!! =D " |
